Installed price covers the charger, our standard install (wall mount within a normal cable run of the consumer unit, cable clipped or in trunking, dedicated circuit), DNO notification and the app and tariff set up.

What moves it: the cable run from the consumer unit, whether it clips to a wall or has to go under a drive, and whether the board needs anything doing to it first.

Why the Easee One

  • Protection built in

Type B RCD, surge protection and open-PEN detection are all inside the unit, so the consumer unit work is minimal. It is the cheapest charger to install, which shows in the price.

  • Made for shared parking

Up to three Easee Ones balance across one 32 A supply without extra hardware, with RFID access and OCPP 1.6 for anyone who needs to bill users. That makes it the unit for HMOs, flats and small landlords.

  • Socket with a lock

A lockable Type 2 port means you can leave your own cable in permanently (tethered in practice) or take it with you. Five colour covers.

One cable left in, or take it with you?

Leave a cable locked in

Lock your Type 2 cable into the port and the Easee One behaves like a tethered charger, with an optional U-hook to tidy the cable. Best for a single home user.

Shared or rented parking

Keep the port free, use RFID tags to control who can charge, and let each user bring their own cable. Up to three units share one supply and can report usage over OCPP.

Choose the Easee One for a flat, an HMO or a landlord install where several cars share a supply and you may need to control access or bill usage. For a single family home on an Octopus tariff the ePod or the Indra are the safer picks, because the Easee's Octopus integration is not confirmed and solar charging needs an extra box.

Tariff pairing: check before you rely on it

Sources disagree on whether the Easee One is on Octopus's Intelligent Octopus Go device list. If your car has its own Octopus integration the tariff works regardless of charger; if not, tell us and we will check the live device list, or steer you to an Ohme or Indra. Easee's own app supports scheduled charging on any tariff.

Questions about the Easee One.

How much does an Easee One cost installed?

A quote in writing, covering the charger, our standard install and VAT at 20%. The Equalizer, which adds solar diversion and dynamic load balancing, is priced as an option before you commit.

Is Easee a safe brand after the 2023 Swedish ban?

Sweden's regulator questioned the software-based RCD in 2023. The proceedings were formally closed in October 2025 with no rework required, the One gained DEKRA cyber certification the same year, and UK sales were never restricted. We say this plainly because you will read about it.

Does it work with Intelligent Octopus Go?

It is disputed. Some 2026 sources list it, others say Easee has no supplier API. We will check the live Octopus device list for you; if your car has its own Octopus integration the charger does not matter.

Can I fit more than one?

Yes. Up to three Easee Ones balance across one 32 A supply without extra hardware, and RFID tags control who can charge. It is the unit we recommend for shared parking.

Does it need Wi-Fi?

No. It has a 4G eSIM with lifetime data, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as alternatives.

Can it charge from solar?

Only with the Easee Equalizer, a separate meter that reads your export. If solar charging is the main reason for the charger, the Zappi or Hypervolt do it out of the box.
