Commercial air conditioning from Newpower
Commercial air conditioning is about the heat load: people, screens, lighting, glazing and the equipment in the room. We survey the space, calculate the load, and design a system of ceiling cassettes, ducted units or wall units on single, multi-split or VRF outdoor units so every area holds its temperature without over-sizing.
Fitted and certified by Newpower.
Newpower is REFCOM registered (REF1023574) and our engineers are F-Gas certified. We install for offices, retail, dental and GP surgeries, salons, gyms and server rooms anywhere in the country, work around your opening hours, and offer a maintenance contract that keeps the F-Gas log, the warranty and the efficiency in order. Buildings that cool all day are often a good fit for commercial solar installation too, because the panels produce most when the cooling load is highest. For a bedroom or home office, see home air conditioning.

What a commercial system costs
Priced off the heat gain, not the floor area
Offices, shops, salons, surgeries and server rooms all fail for different reasons, so we survey the heat gain and size for the worst week of the year. The quote carries the maintenance schedule with it, because an F-Gas system that is never serviced is a system that dies in July.
REFCOM registered. VAT at 20%. Capital allowances usually apply to the whole installation.

Designed around the load, not the ceiling plan.
Offices, shops, salons, surgeries and server rooms all fail for different reasons. We survey the heat gain, size for the worst week of the year, and put the maintenance schedule in the quote so nothing is a surprise.

What we fit
We choose equipment we can get parts and support for locally. If you have a brand in mind, ask; if it is good we will fit it.
How it works.
From enquiry to handover, and who does what.
Step 1 · At a time that suits you
Site survey
We measure the zones, count the heat sources and check where outdoor units and pipework can run.
Step 2 · After the survey
Design and quote
System drawing, equipment schedule and a written quote. Options for phasing or out-of-hours work.
Step 3 · Phased around your hours
Install
Ceiling work, pipework and electrics done around your hours, one area at a time where that keeps you trading.
Step 4 · Final day
Commissioning
Each zone balanced and tested, controls set up, staff shown how to use them.
Step 5 · Scheduled visits
Maintenance
Filter cleans, refrigerant checks and the F-Gas log kept for you.

Questions we get asked.
How much does commercial air conditioning cost?
It is priced per indoor unit and by the outdoor plant those units need, so a single office with one cassette is at one end and an open-plan floor on a VRF system at the other. VAT is charged at 20% and a VAT-registered business reclaims it. The written quote follows the site survey and the heat load calculation.
Can you install outside our opening hours?
Yes. Evenings, weekends and phased installs are normal for shops, surgeries and offices, and we price them into the quote.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. A planned maintenance contract covers scheduled visits, filter cleaning, refrigerant and leak checks, and keeps the F-Gas records the regulations require for larger systems. Contract customers get priority call-out.
What is the difference between multi-split and VRF?
Multi-split runs a few indoor units from one outdoor unit and suits small offices and shops. VRF (variable refrigerant flow) runs many indoor units, can heat one room while cooling another, and suits larger floors and buildings.
Are there capital allowances?
Air conditioning plant usually qualifies for capital allowances under the Annual Investment Allowance, which lets a business deduct the cost from taxable profits in the year of purchase. Worth putting to your accountant before you commit.
Do you do server rooms?
Yes, including duty and standby pairs so the room stays cool if one unit fails, and high-sensible units designed for equipment rather than people.
