MCS certified installer in Rotherham: what our accreditations mean for you

Every badge below is a registration you can check yourself on a public register. We have written what each one actually does for you as a customer, because a row of logos on its own tells you nothing.

MCSNAP-75287

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme: the UK quality standard for small-scale renewables, with Newpower certified through NAPIT.

What it means for you

  • You can claim Smart Export Guarantee payments for the electricity your solar exports; suppliers only pay against an MCS certificate.
  • You get 0% VAT on solar, battery and heat pump installs until March 2027, and the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant for a heat pump, both of which require an MCS installer.
  • The design and the install are inspected against a published standard, and you get a certificate you will need when you sell the house or remortgage.

The government-endorsed quality scheme for work in and around the home.

What it means for you

  • Our trading practices, customer service and technical competence have been checked by a scheme the government stands behind.
  • You are covered by the TrustMark Customer Charter and have a route to independent dispute resolution if something goes wrong.
  • Every measure we register is lodged on the TrustMark Data Warehouse, so there is an independent record of the work on your home.

The Renewable Energy Consumer Code, approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.

What it means for you

  • Your deposit is protected and the work is covered by an insurance-backed guarantee, so you are not exposed if an installer stops trading.
  • You get a 14-day cooling-off period, a written contract before any money changes hands, and a ban on high-pressure selling.
  • If we cannot resolve a complaint you can take it to RECC's independent dispute resolution service free of charge.

REFCOMREF1023574

The F-Gas company certification scheme for anyone who handles refrigerant.

What it means for you

  • By law, air conditioning and air-to-air heat pumps may only be installed and serviced by a company holding F-Gas certification. Ours is REFCOM.
  • The refrigerant in your system is handled by qualified engineers, recorded properly and recovered rather than vented at the end of its life.
  • You get the F-Gas records you need if you own a commercial system, where keeping them is a legal duty.

NAPIT

A government-approved competent person scheme for electrical work, and the body that certifies our MCS work.

What it means for you

  • We can self-certify our electrical work under Part P of the Building Regulations, so you do not need to involve Building Control or pay their fee.
  • You get a Part P electrical certificate and a Building Regulations compliance certificate for every solar, battery and EV charger install.
  • NAPIT inspects our work and our qualifications on a rolling basis.

FCA credit brokerFRN 1037988

Newpower Advanced Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker, not a lender.

What it means for you

  • We can introduce you to finance for your install, and the way we do it is regulated: clear representative examples, no hidden commission arrangements, and a complaints route to the Financial Ombudsman.
  • We do not lend money ourselves. Any credit agreement is between you and the lender, who is separately regulated.
  • You can check our authorisation and permissions on the FCA register at any time.

Tesla certified installer

Trained and approved by Tesla to design, install and commission the Powerwall 3. Only certified installers can supply a Powerwall and register its warranty.
