Questions
Is the price really fixed?
Yes, for a standard install, which covers most homes: the charger, up to 10 metres of cable, one wall and the charger’s own small consumer unit, VAT included. The questions on the product page add anything else before you pay. The only things the photos can still turn up are listed on this page with their prices, and we tell you in writing before doing any of them. If you would rather not go ahead, you get every penny back.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You have 14 days to change your mind, as with anything bought online. If you have asked us to fit the charger inside those 14 days and then cancel, you pay only for work already done. The details are in the terms of sale.
Is there a grant?
Not for owners of a house with a driveway: that grant ended in 2022. Flat owners and renters can get 75% off, up to £500. It has to be approved before the install, so ask us before ordering and we will sort it out.
Which charger should I choose?
If you have solar panels, or plan to, a zappi: it charges the car on your spare solar first. If you have or are getting a Hanchu battery, the Hanchu charger runs in the same app. If you drive a Tesla and want everything in the Tesla app, the Wall Connector. Otherwise the Hanchu is the best value. All of them are 7 kW on a normal home supply, which fills most cars overnight.
What if my fuse is too small?
We check it from your photos. Most homes are fine. If the network operator needs to upgrade the main fuse, it usually does it free, and we arrange it.
